Every Woman’s Place offers internships to active students or individuals who have completed their education and are looking for some practical experience. We offer internships at various stages of educational experience, including but not limited to Associate’s Level, Bachelor’s Level, and Master’s Level placements. We are looking for interns with an emphasis in the following areas:

Serve on our Board of Directors

The mission of Every Woman’s Place is to strengthen lives in the community by providing shelter, counseling, and advocacy primarily for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking.  As a Board Member for Every Woman’s Place (EWP) you are accepting a duty of care, a duty of loyalty and a duty of obedience. 

Board members stay informed about committee matters, prepare themselves well for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports. Members regularly attend board meetings and important related meetings, as well as making a serious commitment to participate actively in committee work, including volunteering for and accepting assignments, completing such tasks thoroughly and on time. Board members expect to participate in fundraising for the organization, and actively engage in the community on behalf of the organization.

They are an active participant in creating and continuing the agency strategic planning goals and processes and build a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus. They utilize their personal and professional skills, relationships and knowledge for the advancement of the agency and its work.

Finally, EWP Board members hold their own integrity and EWP staff in high regard, and are an advocate for the agency and its services within the community. Board members will diligently adhere to EWP’s Bylaws, and work to support the mission, values, and vision of the agency and the work related to fulfilling them to the highest level.
